This famous dress collection of the most photographed woman in the world, will feature 14 of the late Princess of Wales' most famous gowns, originally purchased at Christie's in New York in 1997 - just 8 weeks before her untimely death. The collection features dresses by prominent British designers Victor Edelstein, Bruce Oldfield, Zandra Rhodes and the Princess’ beloved designer Catherine Walker.
Highlights of the collection include the dress Diana wore at the White House State dinner given by President and Mrs. Reagan when she danced with actor John Travolta, three dresses that Diana wore during her famous 1997 Mario Testino photo shoot for a Vanity Fair Magazine feature article, a dress that Diana wore for one of her official portraits, as well as several dresses that were created for specific state occasions.
"As you enjoy this special exhibition...Diana, The People's Princess, you will come to understand the journey of a girl from the English countryside whose life would ultimately play out through a global media and make her a household name on seven continents. She was a royal, a mother, a humanitarian and a style icon. She was and remains The People's Princess." - Maureen Rorech Dunkel, founder of Exhibition Experience.
